MANDATORY SIGNAGES
The main purpose of signs is to communicate, to convey information designed to assist the receiver with decision-making based on the information provided. Mandatory signs indicate what must do, or not to do. For example, self-closing fire doors that must be kept closed to comply with the fire risk assessment should be labelled with “FIRE DOOR KEEP SHUT” signs. Mandatory signs indicate actions that must be carried out to comply with statutory requirements, how to protect yourself in a dangerous situation. These are recognizable by a white pictogram surrounded by a blue background and prescribed a specific behavior. Mainly all the mandatory signs are in images forms used to pass information on what is required in a particular area to stay safe like Eye Protection wear safety glasses when working with chemicals or wearing a hard helmet when entering a construction site etc.
