PROHIBITION SIGNAGES

Prohibition means banned something by law, the action of stopping something being used. If we want that something should be prohibited, then we need to install the “PROHIBITION SIGNAGES” for fulfillment of that target. Prohibition means a safety signage which shows what is forbidden to avoid risk. Mandatory sign shows how to protect yourself, whereas prohibition signage stops certain actions that cause danger. For Example, Section (4) of the COTPA 2003 (Cigarettes and other Tobacco Products) is an act enacted in 2003 at Parliament of India. The Act prohibits smoking of tobacco in public places and is also applicable to ban all products containing tobacco like cigarettes, Bidis, Gutka, Pan Masala etc.   If public places do not put up specified signages then it will become an offense. The specified signage of “Prohibition”, “No Smoking”, “Smoking Strictly Forbidden” “NO Naked Lights”, “No Naked Flames”, “No Entry”, Entry Restricted”  etc. will helps the awareness of public places.  To keep the environment, surroundings smoke free we must have installed the Prohibition signages in that area.
